I was thoroughly disappointed with the food. I expected better for such good reviews. This is a poor imitation of authentic Chinese food.
The dried beef was wet with too much batter and such a small amount of beef inside that I couldn't taste it. I found it chewy and bland, the sauce was all there was to the dish.
The salt and pepper squid was soft and doughy with barely any squid. You can get good salt and pepper squid anywhere in London and I've had better at cheap Chinese places that only have counters and no seating.
Overall I don't think I'll be returning.
The most disgusting, cheap food I have ever tasted from a Chinese restaurant. This is because the food tasted so cheap like the ingredients were bought from ASDA for a total of £5. They are WAY overpriced and rude people.
Lovely, friendly service. Even when they are chaotically busy, they still make you feel like a valued customer.
Went there with some friends and we ordered a bunch of foods to share. The beef in oyster sauce was particularly good, extremely tender and juicy. Too many peppers for my taste but that's just me. The grilled meat dumplings were also really good. Price was good, we were 6 people and paid 24£ each considering we did order quite a lot between fried rice, fried noodles, half a duck, lemon chicken, sweet and sour chicken and some noodles with prawns. Lovely staff as well, will pop in again for sure!
Large portions, attentive service.
A small restaurant tucked away not far from Oxford Street. It's well worth the effort of finding this place.
Visited early evening one Monday night and were obviously the first customers. Consequently the service was fast as was the arrival of our food.
The beer was cold and the portion sizes large.
Nothing was over salted so the full flavours came through.
Couldn't fault the service: discreet and courteous.
